This policy explains how to delete your Zyka.ai account and personal data, what is removed, what we may retain for legal compliance, and how long the process takes.

1Overview

  • This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your personal data and generated content from Zyka.ai (the "Service"), what data is removed, and what we may retain to comply with our legal obligations.
  • This policy is provided in addition to our Privacy Policy and applies to all users of Zyka.ai across the web app, SDK, API, and embedded editors.
  • By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Data Deletion Policy. We may update it from time to time; the most recent version will always be available at this URL.

2What Data We Hold

  • Account information you provided at signup or login, such as your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication identifiers (Google ID, hashed passwords).
  • Generated content you produced using the Service, including AI-generated images, videos, audio, voice clones, prompts, and associated metadata.
  • Uploaded media you supplied as input, such as reference images, source videos, audio samples, and voice recordings.
  • Usage data including credit history, subscription records, payment metadata from our processor, generation logs, and analytics events.
  • Technical data such as device fingerprint, IP address, browser type, and cookies used for authentication and abuse prevention.

3How to Request Deletion

  • In-app: Sign in to your Zyka.ai account, go to Settings → Account, and use the "Delete Account" option. This is the fastest way to initiate deletion and is verified by your active session.
  • By email: Send a request to support@zyka.ai from the email address registered with your account. Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your account email so we can locate your records.
  • We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
  • You do not need to provide a reason for your deletion request, and you will not be charged a fee for exercising this right.

4What Gets Deleted

  • Your account profile, login credentials, and authentication tokens.
  • All AI-generated images, videos, and audio attached to your account, including their metadata and storage objects on our servers and CDN.
  • Uploaded reference media (images, videos, audio) that you provided as inputs to generations.
  • Voice clone models and voice samples associated with your account.
  • Saved drafts, projects, and editor sessions tied to your account.
  • Personal preferences, saved settings, and integrations you configured inside the Service.

5Data We May Retain

  • Transaction and invoice records required by tax, accounting, and financial-regulation laws — typically retained for up to seven (7) years from the date of the transaction.
  • Anonymized or aggregated analytics that can no longer be linked to you and that we use to improve the Service.
  • Records necessary to enforce our Terms and Conditions, prevent fraud or abuse, or respond to legal claims and investigations, retained only for as long as the legitimate purpose requires.
  • Backups containing your data may persist for up to thirty (30) days after the deletion request is processed and are then overwritten by routine backup rotation.

6Timeline for Deletion

  • We acknowledge deletion requests within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt.
  • Verified requests are processed within thirty (30) days from acknowledgement, in line with applicable data-protection laws including the GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
  • Backup systems are purged on their normal rotation schedule, typically within thirty (30) days after primary deletion.
  • Once deletion is complete, the data cannot be recovered. We will notify you by email when the process is finished.

7Account Closure vs. Data Deletion

  • Closing your account stops billing and revokes access, but some data may remain in our systems for the retention windows described above.
  • A full data deletion request goes further: it removes your personal data and generated content from our active systems beyond the limits described under "What Gets Deleted".
  • If you only want to pause your subscription, please use the cancellation flow inside the Service or refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy instead.

8Third-Party Services

  • We use third-party processors for payments (Stripe, Razorpay), authentication (Google), email delivery, analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, PostHog, Zipy), and cloud storage (AWS S3, CloudFront).
  • When you request deletion, we forward instructions to these processors to remove the data they hold on our behalf, subject to their own retention obligations.
  • Some providers may retain anonymized event data or transaction records for their own legal and operational requirements. Their privacy policies govern that retention.

9Children's Data

  • Zyka.ai is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
  • If you believe we hold data belonging to a child, please contact support@zyka.ai and we will delete it promptly upon verification.
